This boutique motel is absolutely charming and thoughtfully designed with great taste. It’s pet-friendly, the rooms are spotless, and the area is peaceful and quiet. The location is ideal and convenient. The staff is incredibly accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Being family-owned makes the experience feel even more warm and welcoming. Highly recommend! (Stayed during winter time and pricing was very reasonnable.)

Loved our winter escape at Daunt’s. Great welcome by Dylan, the rooms are very thoughtfully appointed and spacious. Their bar / restaurant across the street has an incredible cocktail list and everyone is super friendly. Can’t wait to come back in spring / summer and make the most of the pool and proximity to the beach!

Had a truly lovely stay here! Affordable for the area and still has more than you need. The pool was great, the outdoor areas were cute and the workers were wonderful. It's also in a great location. The same people own a restaurant across the street so they gave us gift cards to use there. Overall very much recommend and hope to be back soon.

Had a fantastic stay here over Thanksgiving weekend. Check in was very easy and friendly even though it was late evening, and from the moment I walked into the room I felt calmness. Looks like they’ve recently renovated the place, and they’ve blended the new furniture and fittings with some older more homely furniture nicely. Almost had a 1950s Palm Springs feel to it, especially with the slate floor. The bed was very comfortable indeed and the shower was great. These motels usually have paper thin walls, but heard minimal noise from the neighbors and outside, and I slept well. For the price, I think it’s a great place to stay.

The rooms were recently remodeled and our stay was amazing! The fire pits, swimming pool, and large grill were top notch and made our time there special. The motel also owns and operates the restaurant Bird on the Roof across the street which has excellent food and gourmet dinner selections. The chef is top notch and we highly recommend eating there even if you don't stay at the Albatross.

Daunt's exceeded our expectations! The staff was so friendly and helpful with all or questions. The location is about a 3 min walk to town and the beach. Great spot for a quick weekend trip! Plus their restaurant across the street serves delicious breakfast. The evening cocktails were fun as well.

Love Daunt’s Albatross! The first time we went our daughter was 6 weeks old. It was our first family vacation. It was the best time. Location: close proximity to everything. You are a block away from the beach. It’s very doable. You are by everything. You can walk everywhere. We parked our car the first day and didn’t move it until we were leaving. Hospitality: this is a family owned business. They take care of it. You can see the love and hard work they put into it. It shows. It is very well appreciated. My family would rather stay here. Vibes: it’s great for family and dog lovers. I grew up going to Montauk when it was a fisherman town. It’s completely changed over the year. Despite the changes, Daunts Albatross is such a pleasant and welcoming place.

First time at Daunt’s Albatross Motel this past weekend…this charming beach motel did not disappoint. The staff was lovely and so friendly. The room had such cute attention to details to make it really feel like a cozy place to stay away from home. They didn’t miss a thing - From the white robes and slippers, to the cute coffee/tea products and accessories provided, to makeup wipes and a makeup wash cloth, and a sound machine! We had a ground floor room and we didn’t hear anything from our neighbors or from upstairs. The pool area was beautiful and each area provided a unique QR code to order food poolside from their yummy restaurant “the Bird” across the street. They also provided a complimentary $20 gift card for brunch and another for dinner upon arrival. We LOVED that they had fire pits going every night, which provided a warm cozy welcoming scent when we would return at night. 10/10. 5 stars. I’m surprised this is listed as a 2 star hotel on here. It is a gem. The best part that we really loved is that they allow and welcome big dogs….our 170lb Cane Corso fur baby loved it. Will definitely be returning next summer. :)

Daunt's is a great family run motel, right near the beach , in the heart of town. Perfect location, no need to drive anywhere (but they do have parking). Clean rooms with outdoor patio area in most rooms, common area with fire pits (s'mores provided at the front desk) , great ice machine , nice clean pool with plenty of seating. There is a BBQ if you want to cook you own food. Family and dog friendly... Thanks Leo and staff for another great stay ?
