I recently came here for dinner with my sister and my mom and we were blown away by the food. Everything was delicious but the yellowtail hamachi appetizer and short rib raviolo were our favorites. I need to come back for the raviolo this spring because it was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. Very much worth the two hour drive from where I live. Please keep it on the menu for the spring and summer!!!

Enjoyed a quick winter getaway at 1770 house, every sq. Inch of the inn is dedicated to preserving the colonial charm of the original house. So well done. From the cellar tavern, to the guest room’s fine wooden furnishings & fireplaces. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. I’m looking very forward to visiting again this spring.

My parents had a wonderful stay at this Inn. My wife and I planned the trip for them and They raved About the inn, the restaurant and the level of service. We were really torn between choosing the 1770 Inn and the Baker house Inn. April was exceptional and went above and beyond to sway us towards the 1770, as well as plan A whole itinerary for my parents trip! Their vacation could not have been what it was without her assistance. Forever grateful to April and the entire staff. The whole family is now going to make this a tradition and spread the word.

Ed, the Bartendar and server for us was amazing! The oysters, tuna tartar and the steak was amazing. Best food we have had in the Hamptons. And the environment is so quaint ?

I dined at 1770 House Restaurant & Inn once with friends years ago, and I absolutely loved it — but afterward, I couldn’t remember the name, only that it had something to do with numerals. For years I tried to recall it, and then yesterday, while looking for a nice place to bring my friends for dinner, I finally stumbled upon it again. I was so happy to recognize it after all this time! It was just as delicious as I remembered. I was a little sad not to see the scallops on the menu anymore, but the crab pasta was fantastic. We loved the oysters with cucumber vinaigrette — so much that we ordered them twice! The short rib, halibut, and Amish chicken were all excellent. The bar is great too — as you’d expect from a classy place like this. The Old Fashioned was spot-on, and the dirty martini was just right. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and really deserves recognition. Service overall was amazing. I also love the decor and cozy, classy atmosphere — especially the fireplace. Finding this restaurant again after all these years felt like rediscovering an old favorite. Can’t wait to come back!

So much fun here for my niece’s bachelorette, considerate and attentive staff and not ableist which was appreciated. Rooms clean and well maintained and food good, would recommend but maybe better in June.

One of the best hotels I have EVER stayed at. 10/10. Combine the customer service of the Ritz, Peninsula and the Aman and you get 1770 House! Amazing customer service, cozy and quaint rooms! The beautiful gardens were the perfect relaxing retreat!! The lights hanging from the trees was the EXPERIENCE you didn’t know you needed. Room 6 was perfect, the most comfortable bed, Matouk sheets and the room smelt like an amazing spa with the Molton Brown scents and toiletries. The breakfast was to die for. Delicious pancakes and croissants. The general manager was the sweetest and she called ahead to verify my arrival. She was so kind and genuinely excited when we checked in! We were so sad when we left! We are already planning our return trip!! Next time we will be staying much longer. Stay here for the ultimate luxury experience at a phenomenal price!

1770 House Restaurant & Inn blends fine dining with historic charm in East Hampton. The restaurant offers an elegant menu featuring seasonal, locally sourced dishes, complemented by an impressive wine list. Guests love the cozy ambiance and attentive service, whether dining upstairs or in the more casual tavern downstairs. The inn itself provides charming, well-appointed rooms for a peaceful stay. Perfect for a romantic evening or a relaxing getaway steeped in history and flavor

The waiter was very nice and attentive . The food was just ok. Not worth the price. I spent close to $300 for two people and was given attitude by the manager when I asked the best way to walk to the back parking area. The door leading to the back garden right by tables where people dining and we didn’t want to disturb people… He could have been much nicer when asked a simple question and directed us to the best way out. Very déclassé and off putting . I ate inside tonight in the Tavern but only worth it if you have a table in the back garden on a good weather night which is pretty . I have had a good experience out there in the past. When I got to my car a large parked black SUV blocked me as well as several others from being to able to pull out. Welcome to the Hamptons.
