The Ocean Resort at Bath and Tennis consistently receives overwhelmingly negative reviews, citing severe cleanliness issues including mold, bed bugs, and fecal matter, as well as persistent maintenance problems. Guests report rude and unhelpful staff, a lack of accountability, and significant issues with room quality and amenities, particularly regarding misrepresented room types and broken systems.
1 star (would give 0 if possible) Absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. We had to move rooms three times, and each one was worse than the last. The first room had mold on the mattress, the second had bed bugs, and the third? Feces on the floor. Yes, you read that right. The place is filthy, unsanitary, and clearly not maintained. Customer service was rude and unhelpful—zero accountability or concern for the health and safety of their guests. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. This place should be inspected by the health department.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. We had to stay here for a wedding. MANY other hotels in the area we would have chosen before this one. Prices are absolutely outrageous for what you are getting. Beds were rock hard, floors and bathrooms were dirty, shower was incredibly small and the rooms are completely dated. Our backs are in shambles from this stay. Truly felt like sleeping in a trailer park - our rooms were across the street from the main hotel. Do not recommend. Will not be returning.
Wonderful location, but the facilities are a case study in deferred maintenance. Horrible bedding, room reeked of Fabuloso cleaner, and a long list of items in need of repair. Staff openly talked among themselves of trying to find another job and it showed in their lack of care for guests.
I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. We reserved a group block for our wedding at Oceanbleu Catering, and it turned out to be a major mistake. The rooms were in poor condition, basic amenities didn’t work, and the overall service was unacceptable. The room key system was broken, forcing guests to wait in the lobby until someone with a master key could let them in. Communication was equally frustrating—email inquiries took 48–72 hours to receive a reply, and no booking confirmations were ever provided. The front desk staff were consistently unpleasant and unhelpful, and the property is definitely not handicap accessible. To make matters worse, the rooms and overall property felt more like a run-down motel despite the high prices our guests paid. Overall, just a horrible experience and completely unfit for hosting guests during such an important occasion.
Save your time and money! Theres NO standard to be held here. No accountability for the owner owned rooms. You get what you get. My birthday wknd, we were told we would have a 1 bdrm unit. I called ahead a week before to make sure. I was told yes and at $800 a night you should expect some standard. When we arrived we received a studio room with a small pull out couch NOT the 1 bdrm promised. Theres no utensils, empty paper towel holder, worn out furniture and dirty tile floors in the bathroom. NO Closet to hang our clothes. We asked for a different room the "manager" stacy obviously has nothing to say or do about it. This place needs a total overhaul. Soooo many other places to be! Especially for the high prices. Thumbs down. This wasnt my first time here ive stayed in the other "less expensive rooms with outdated small hard queen size beds so we figured we would try "the upgrade" but it will be my last time. SHAME ON YOU WHB BATH AND TENNIS!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I walked up to my hotel room, and it was the only hotel room with all of the windows open on the strip. We walk into the room and it smells of absolutely terrible. I then called the front desk. The receptionist told us that they know it smells, it’s an existing problem, annd they can’t figure out what the smell is. They told us they can give us a different room if we pay an extra fee of $900 a night?!?! We then got put on with the manager whose name is STACEY and she told my family, who just drove hours to get to our vacation, “If you don’t like it just leave.” I have never dealt with a manager that says that to a paying customer. She should be fired. Absolutely horrible customer service. We ended up leaving because they didn’t do anything for us.
