A spontaneous, last-minute girls’ trip turned into something truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, I felt a sense of awe—and by the time we left, I felt completely restored. This stay gave me exactly what I didn’t even realize I needed. A room by the beach—there is only one word to describe it: magical. Every detail, from arrival to departure, was flawless. The complimentary rosé and thoughtful snacks set the tone immediately, the room was immaculate, and the atmosphere was pure serenity. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional customer service. Every interaction was warm, attentive, and genuine—effortlessly anticipating our needs and making us feel genuinely welcomed. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, and it’s impossible not to feel that this place is created with love and intention. You can sense the care, the curation, and the soul behind every detail—it’s what turns a beautiful hotel into an unforgettable experience. Cannot wait to return !

I’ve been staying at A Room at the Beach since it opened and it’s been a joy watching it constantly improve in quality and elegance. Each room is stocked with the comfiest robes and softest slippers. Each room has its own back garden, intentionally planted to look natural while also providing privacy. And each room has seating in the front, where you can sit and enjoy the property’s majestic redwoods over a glass of rosé. There are coolers stocked with wine and other drinks for guests to take placed up and down the deck. In terms of design the bedrooms combine classic elements of Hamptons beach style with thoughtful and compelling contemporary artistry. The hotel owners know some of the artist with pieces on display personally and some of them are for sale. The items in each minibar, though, are complementary. By the pool there is an Airstream and a pergola where the hotel often hosts different aestheticians — massage therapists, chiropractors, facialists etc. There are also bikes available to borrow, which can be clutch during times of high traffic during summer weekends. If you want to leave the property on foot, downtown Bridgehampton is a short walk away, offering plenty of options for eating and drinking. This is a place for people who enjoy the Hamptons not just because it’s become a scene, but because it’s naturally beautiful. Over the years, A Room on the Beach has built on that, while constantly elevating its offerings and treating guests with kindness and conscientiousness. The Hamptons are lucky to have it, and you would be lucky to stay there.

This place is an outright gouge. Also that review below is definitely fake. Overall, it has the level of comfort of an airplane bathroom. It's loud (the place is right on montauk highway) and the photos do not really give you an idea of how its laid out and how far the rooms are from the street. They have windows in the doors to the rooms which have outdoor lights pouring in which do not shut off at night. We even complained and they told us they could not shut them off or had any way to cover the windows. It was so far from being an acceptable level of darkness for a night sleep that it was offensive. There is, as others note, not even the scantest amount of space to put anything down from a toiletry bag to luggage. You can't hang a towel anywhere. Every square inch of space in this room is already taken up by something. For example, we had dresser so loaded with crap they are trying to sell you on trays - from art, to collegen supplements, to whatever other useless overpriced baubles they think you may buy- that you could not even use the furniture. They have an entire MENU of stuff they leave on this dresser with stuff they hope you buy. I paid for a hotel room not a checkout counter at a grocery store. This was ridiculous for $1,000 a night and I did not book a hotel room to try and be some captive audience. Never, ever again. PS - For those who do not look at the map, the beach is over an hour walk away. So this is no more a room at the beach than my place in manhattan is a house in the NJ suburbs.

I’ve been traveling my entire adult life. From hostels to high rises and everything in between. My experience at ARATB was bar none the best hospitality I’ve ever received. They accommodated some last minute travel conflicts and helped me make it to my friend wedding in the nick of time! The rooms are perfectly decorated to feel unique and cozy but not overdone. The floor plan is extremely clever because they utilize a slat wall to separate the bathroom area from the room, with the tv mounted flush. This design eliminates wasted space and creates a circular flow to the room which made it feel much more spacious. The rules were lax, in that they let adults be adults as long as they act like adults. The staff was attentive and the amenities in my room were luxurious and some were even complimentary. It’s easy to get to the Main Street in town and central to all the best beaches. Great for instagram photos too! Definitely enjoy a stay here and you won’t be disappointed. Special thank you to Angela and Jose for making me feel so at home.

Room size is sorely deficient. No place to put toiletries except on chest of drawers. Lamps on night tables were unplugged when we arrived. We plugged in and did not work. Night stand had to be used for everything. Too cramped. Coffee made by proprietor sucked but Nespresso machine in room was adequate. Rear area garden was overgrown so we could not sit in hairs without a pruning sheers to cut branches. Really deceptive advertisement for space. Really small area. Bed was good. Location good but $800 for room a night was not right when place was so small. When I asked for larger room Room size is not mentioned in website. AC blows directly on person closest to unit over window. When I asked for extra towels I had to go to “staff person” who gave to me but next day they removed the extra towels And did not replace. Breakfast was some ok muffins etc. You can hear next door guest having sex. Overall poor value but maybe that is Hamptons overpriced typical ripoff! Other than light switches. It working properly (switched plugs not indicated and staff did not plug in lamps so who the hell would know which outlet to plug into. Need I say more. When our friends asked where we were staying we had a good laugh because they knew how small the place was with no room to sit, drink coffee or eat the ok but not great muffins they gave us for breakfast. Also getting anything you asked for too a good while so if you expect real service forgetaboutit!

I would give this hotel 1 million stars if I could. Me and my family just stayed here for 5 days and we had the most amazing time. Not only is the property absolutely stunning… the staff is so friendly+kind. They offer free coffee+L&W pastries in the morning. The location is fantastic. We would go to The Golden Pear for breakfast and Almond for dinner. My son had so much fun playing under the redwood trees. This is truly a hidden gem. Traveling with a dog and a toddler is sometimes difficult but we felt at home+comfortable every single day. I’m very grateful to have been able to experience this magical place. Thank you for a wonderful time! We can’t wait to visit again.

10 room boutique hotel that feels like more like a luxury b&b. Beautifully manicured grounds with a nice pool and sauna. Free Rosé and water bottles, coffee all day, and free pastries in the morning. They’ll give you good quality chairs and towels, umbrella and a permit for the beach and even load your car for you. Swimming pool is great and the decor is top notch all around. Highlight is the service and staff.
