The Montauk Manor Resort receives generally positive reviews, highlighted by its beautiful setting, attentive staff, and convenient amenities like a shuttle service. However, recent feedback indicates inconsistent service regarding allergy accommodations, and some guests express concerns about outdated room furnishings and limited amenities such as coffee service and reliable TV functionality.
Staff ignored my food allergies! I attended an all inclusive weekend event. My meals were included in the price-buffet style. Before each meal, the head of food services would announce which dishes contained gluten or milk. They knew I had an allergy to all nuts. I (or my husband) would have to specifically go to the director or chef and ask if there were nuts in any of the food at each meal, they completely ignored my allergen. The cook even delivered specially made plates to someone else at the event with allergies, so I knew the kitchen was allergen aware. I am not sure why they chose to completely ignore the all nut allergy that I have. At one meal they had desserts and I really wanted something sweet, I went up to ask the head of food services host if there was a safe dessert not containing nuts and I was simply told 'don't eat any, they are from the outside and we don't know what is in them'. I asked for a scoop of chocolate gelato, which I knew was safe, and was told to go to the bar to order and pay for it. How rude! It took me 20 minutes to get a scoop and they put it in a take out container and bag with no spoon and charged me for it. I was actively at an event engaging with participants and had already paid over $3,100.00 for four people to attend the event.
Such a fun experience. The manor is beautiful as well as the surrounding landscape. The hotel staff was amazing and attentive. Montes at the manor was delicious. They also provide a shuttle to town which is super convenient! We will definitely be back!
Our recent stay at the Montauk Manor was seamless. The staff could not have been more accommodating to our needs - from Nora who handled my reservations and my numerous inquiries to Donna and Michelle who ensured our purpose for being there was handled with the utmost care and Chaz, who was incredibly helpful in making sure our room fit our needs. All the boxes were checked for a perfect stay. On top of that, the food at Monte's At The Manor was perfect, too! Thank you to all the staff whose names I may not have gotten. You made our work easy and those who participated completely at ease. Many, many thanks!!!
We came for a weekend getaway this winter and it was perfect. The lobby was so inviting especially with the fireplace going. All the staff was very courteous and very pleasant. We will stay here again. Our view from our room was great as well.
We had a Wonderful stay at the Manor, our room was lovely as are the staff. Having a shuttle to take you to the local restaurants is an excellent plus. The views from our deluxe loft bedroom were amazing! Stay at the Montauk Manor and thank me later!!
Lovely historic hotel sitting on a bluff overlooking the sea. Grand Budapest vibes. Visited during the offseason and felt sleepy which was nice though.. The hotel is a bit sparse. There is a restaurant and bar but it seemed to be closed during the offseason. There is a shuttle that will drive you around town but would definitely recommend bringing a car or bring your own food. Train station is a short walk away and there is Uber in the city as well but Uber Eats didn’t seem to operate here though. Wouldn’t recommend walking around the area at night as there didn’t isnt lighting or sidewalks. Room is sparse but nice. Could use some black out blinds though. Other rooms might vary though since theyre condos with owners. There is a vending machine but the hotel could definitely use a grab and go shop. No coffee service which was disappointing. Seemed a a bit understaffed but maybe that’s the offseason. Felt slightly over-priced for the offseason but would definitely visit again if I found a deal. Would like to come back during the summer..
Beautiful, historic hotel with staff that truly goes the extra mile to make your celebrations special. This is one of the few places I visit and want to return again and again because it’s just so relaxing and welcoming. It’s the perfect summer stay, but I find it exceptional in the off season. Already planning a future stay.
We love this place! Beautiful hotel with clean rooms and great staff! Highly recommended! Rooms are even better than photos on the website! With the full kitchen! It’s just amazing! Great place for writers to go and finish their books:) Calm, cozy and quite!
The Montauk Manor is a great place to stay at with many amenities, around the clock staff support, and very accessible: with a shuttle to any public spot (expect Gurney’s and the Lighthouse) and city center 3 minutes away. We stayed at the studio room and it was more than plenty for 2 people. Clean, nice smelling, and overall everything you need to live comfortably on vacation. Worth staying and is very old styled.
I visited for work during the off season but the views were breathtaking. It was too cold for walking but I was able to use the fitness room at the hotel. They have two peloton bikes. It’s very close to the Main Street and must be a wonderful stay in the summer.
