Journey East Hampton receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, praised for its friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and stylish atmosphere. Guests highlight the relaxing pool, sauna, and thoughtfully designed common areas. While some note occasional noise and the motel-like nature of the property, the overall experience is considered a welcome and comfortable retreat.
AWESOME!!! Mindy was amazing. great spot and was right near where i needed to be for a work event. bed was comfortable, shower was excellent. no breakfast but snacks on hand to go were perfect. pool was nice and had water out there to take. fire pit was a really nice touch at the end of the night to sit and have a beer by the fire chatting to others. really friendly place. would highly recommend.
We had a marvelous experience. The staff went above and beyond. The suite was the best lodging experience we've had in East Hampton. Centrally located, quiet, just perfect. Loved the smores...
Such a lovely stay at Journey East Hampton. The rooms are beautiful, the greenery and outdoor spaces are so peaceful, and every little detail feels thoughtful. Loved the sauna, pool, and all the cozy lounge chairs to relax outside. Breakfast was great, and I appreciated the little touches like yogurt, water, and sodas always stocked in the fridge. Such a cute and relaxing getaway — can’t wait to come back.
I’ve stayed there on multiplications and it’s a wonderful retreat. The staff staff is top-notch and takes care of your every need. They give you snacks and breakfast items in the morning with great coffee definitely a place to visit and to return too many times.
We stayed over MLK weekend and had an amazing experience. The staff, especially Keanu, were incredibly kind and welcoming. The property was clean, charming, and well maintained, and the sauna was a wonderful bonus. We would definitely stay again!
The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive. The standard king rooms are small and the walls are thin, but still cozy space. We did have one hiccup with the room but the staff quickly sorted it out and relocated us. Overall it’s not a bad stay, beds were comfortable and after a late show at Guild Hall it was a welcome retreat. Off season prices seem high for what it was, but not a bad stay at all.
This is a motel that has been modernized. They offer some amenities to make up for the fact that you're staying at a motel. They've tried hard and done almost the best they can. In the winter it is challenging to take advantage of what they offer (pool, outdoor fire pit - not operating when raining, bicycles). It's still a motel. Friendly staff. The white noise/clock is useful as the noise from the main road is noticebale. I think they should suspend the resort fee in the winter months. If you're looking for a decent price in Easthampton, this could be the place for you.
The room in this hotel is like 5 star hotel. Molton Brown bathroom amenities, Frette towels, Sferra throw on the bed. Very clean and modern. Large bathroom. Really very nice place and very well located if visiting East Hampton.
My husband and I stayed at Journey East Hamptons for 3 nights at the end of a 2 week road trip from Boston to The Hamptons! As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We had a wonderful relaxing stay and all the staff we met, especially Keanu and Cindy were so helpful and friendly. If we didn’t live so far away (we are from the UK!) we would definitely frequent the hotel a lot!! The bedroom was so nice, clean and had everything you need. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! The communal areas were so stylish and beautifully decorated. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed relaxing by the pool located in the well manicured gardens. We highly recommend you visit!
The room itself was honestly great — modern, clean, and clearly remodeled with attention to detail and decor. The grounds are well kept with a pleasant pool and small garden area for relaxation. The grab-and-go breakfast option, however, was underwhelming and really not worth mentioning as an amenity. Some other amenities, like water, coffee and soda supply, were to be chased most of the times. At the end of the day, this is still essentially a motel: rooms open to the outside, there’s so much constant highway noise and neighbor noise (walls are indeed paper thin, even when staying in a 2nd floor room, we heard every single word of the next door family), and there are limited front desk hours. For the rates they charge (well over $1,000 on weekends in peak season), it’s really tough to justify the price when you compare it to true resort or boutique hotel experiences in the area. Let alone the resort fee they charge. If having a very stylish, well-done motel close to East Hampton and Amagansett is your top priority, you’ll probably be happy here. But for the price, the overall value just isn’t there. Beware, their marketing and photos are fantastic (congrats to whoever is managing that). For us, it just didn’t add up compared to expectations and the high rate, and we won’t be returning.
