The Palm Inn consistently receives positive feedback for its warm hospitality and excellent service, highlighted by staff like Kristie and Gale. While many guests praise the food, particularly steaks and classic dishes, some recent reviews have raised concerns about inconsistent food quality, with reports of undercooked steaks and a disappointing experience compared to other Palm locations.
We had a wonderful experience at The Palm. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, and everything ran seamlessly throughout the evening. A special mention to Kristie who made us feel especially welcome and set such a positive tone for the night. The hospitality was outstanding and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
First and foremost, a big shoutout to Kristie—truly one of the best hostesses out there! She always makes us feel like royalty and consistently takes great care of us by getting us a wonderful table. Her warmth and professionalism really elevate the entire dining experience every time we visit. The service is always great, and their happy hour is fantastic and something we always look forward to. Highly recommend!
Honestly not a great experience, i was very excited to try it out because the lady at the rolex store recommended it to me. Was having a great experience up until the main course came out. Appetizers and drinks were great but my steak came out extremely well done when i asked for medium rare. And all the sides were luke warm at best. Spinach was ice cold. Needless to say ill never be back. Unfortunately my girlfriend broke up with me too because of this horrible experience. 0/10
I love the Palm in East Hampton. I love the food, I love the service, and I love everything about the place. I wasn’t happy when they got rid of the bacon back in the day, but now that it’s back I can’t say enough good things about it. The steaks are always delicious, the specials are great, and it remains one of my favorite restaurants on the East End of Long Island.
No reservations? Head to the Palm’s Bar! Great menu, great service, cozy and warm room!
The food here was really good! It was super busy and I couldn’t get a reservation, so I grabbed a seat at the bar instead. I had the bacon, the Wagyu lasagna, and the Cacio e Pepe corn — all were delicious. The lasagna portion was a bit small, which was a little disappointing, but overall everything hit the spot. The decor felt a bit dated — kind of that old-school steakhouse vibe — but it worked with the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try one of the steaks next time.
I had dinner on Saturday night with a buddy of mine. We both were very surprised that we just walked in and we got a table. I remember a few years ago you had to have a reservation on the weekend if you wanted to get a table. I really enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan and my friend enjoyed the NY Strip. It was very lively in the dining room but it was still easy enough to have a conversation. Our server was very nice, and she took the time to recommend a few dishes. We had two managers come and check on us during our dinner, that was a great touch they both wanted to make sure we were taken care of properly. The chocolate cake is different than I remember but it was very enjoyable.
GALE WAS AWESOME Palm Restaurant absolutely delivered an incredible experience for our group. We came in with a pretty rowdy crew—lots of energy, laughter, and big appetites—and the staff handled it all with total professionalism and warmth. From the moment we sat down, our server made us feel welcome and never missed a beat, even with all the chaos at the table. The service was top-notch: attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure every order came out exactly right. The food was phenomenal—perfectly cooked steaks, delicious sides, and everything served hot and fresh. They kept the drinks flowing and the vibe positive the whole night. It’s not easy to take care of a loud group with class and patience, but The Palm nailed it. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had, and we’ll absolutely be back. Huge thank you to the entire team for making it memorable!
We had received a lot of hype from our friends about this restaurant, I honestly believe they were talking about the one in the city because this one was pretty much a big disappointment. Our server was terrible, he was inattentive and didn’t even know the menu well. I will say that the bus people in food runners did a pretty good job, but the waiter left a lot to be desired. My son ordered the lamb porterhouse which he was extremely excited to try because he had never seen that on a menu before, and it came out raw. We had to send it back to be re-cooked. One time was enough for us. We will not go back.
If you're looking for a classic dining experience, The Palm is a fantastic choice that never disappoints. Their steaks are consistently delicious, especially when paired with their tangy chimichurri sauce. The fried onions are a standout appetizer—crispy, flavorful, and incredibly addictive; once you start, it's hard to stop. The wedge salad is a solid option as well, providing a crisp, refreshing complement to your meal. Additionally, The Palm boasts a well-curated wine selection for enthusiasts. Overall, it’s a reliable spot for a satisfying and enjoyable meal.
