Stayed here in 2006 after my sister’s wedding at Inlet Seafood - amazing after party on the beach until sunset, and the rooms were great as well! The owners also have two Grenadiers - very capable vehicle! Good for off-roading - we’ve taken ours to Moab once and Ouray, Colorado twice. You point the vehicle and it goes.

We came during the winter holidays. We called ahead to see of we could have a room downstairs and to ask about coffee, a fridge and if there would be a microwave in the room. The hostess called back and explained the room comes with a small fridge, and they would give us a microwave. She was very pleasant and said we already had a room on the lower floor next to the ramp. They provide coffee and muffins in the morning. I saw soft drinks and beers for sale in the office. While we were here, it snowed about 5 inches. The paths were cleared off and a shovel and broom was available to clear off our vehicle. It is a short walk to the ocean and a pleasant walk down the beach to the nearest exit. On the way back, stop at the local IGA grocery store.

I will start by saying we had a 5/5 experience. However, I would not say this is a 4 star hotel- closer to a 3 but a very lovely 3! There is definitely some maintenance/upkeep needed. Our bathroom light was flickering, bathroom hooks falling out of the wall. Some paint touch ups needed, etc. the bean bags (while ridiculously comfortable) smelled of mildew. We also had an issue with noise from the neighboring hotel room just after 11 pm- not a huge problem but it did raise the concern of who to contact at this hour as there was no one at the front desk and no one answering the phone. Despite these few/small things, we had a great experience and would for sure consider coming back!

I had an amazing experience here with my family, including my husband and our little toddler. This place was truly remarkable and a great stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary ! My son enjoyed the pool so much, and the hotel had a wonderful, laid-back vibe. Our room was stunning, offering ocean views and was the best in the hotel! It had a private balcony. I loved the room amenities and the complimentary drink we got upon check-in. They even set up beanbags and umbrellas at the beach, which was a nice touch. Tatiana was incredibly friendly, and we will definitely be back to this fantastic destination!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were absolutely amazing, ready to hep with anything needed. The Czech girls at the front desk were fantastic! So friendly, professional and always ready to help me. Recommend the smores by the fire pit at the evening. Definitely coming back next year

TLDR: would have given this stay 4/5 stars but instead im giving a 3/5 cause of a financial overcharge that wasnt reimbursed. Check all your bills here. Upon booking my total stay charge was -$80 cheaper than my final amount upon checking out. This was a result of a tax overcharge. The hotel screwed up the amount of tax i was supposed to pay and claimed at check out it should have been higher than what i was originally charged but they could not provide any detailed calculations as to what error occurred. I asked if there original amount i was charged could be honored, they said no cause it was “ a state tax calculation issue”. Understandable somewhat out of their control but they were not willing to reimburse me to cover the issue and did not really try to compensate me for anything. Customer service not great in this interaction and typically most higher end hotels will gladly help out in some way to make amends. Felt compelled to highlight the service character here and warn people about issues with their bills. I will note the front desk lady did try to remedy the situation to her powers but ultimately the manager rejected any form of reimbursement and wouldnt even speak directly with me. The resort itself is great, as described. Rooms comfy, right on beach, walking to town, running paths, cant beat

We had the most amazing stay at Hero Beach Club! This is our second time staying here and we will definitely be coming back! From the moment we arrived, the experience was a 10/10! The location is perfect — steps from the beach and close to everything (very walkable). The whole staff is amazing! Sophie, Troy and Alex went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of.Whether it was helping with local recommendations, making sure we had everything we needed, or just being friendly faces throughout our trip — they truly made the difference! The rooms are always super clean and we love all the amenities the hotel offers like the pool, beach service (food+drinks), fire pit s’more’s and sauna! Highly recommend!

I went to Hero with my partner over MDW to celebrate their birthday and our stay was absolutely incredible. The manager on duty when we arrived (Troy?) was so kind and funny. Our first day the weather wasn’t great but thanks to the heated pool, we were still able to swim! We also used the sauna and steam room, which were both very clean and conveniently located near the restrooms. The next day the weather cleared up a bit and we were able to enjoy the lawn area and beach access. I loved the lawn area, it was super well maintained and had a bonfire (they did not provide s’mores though). They also host morning workout classes on the lawn, but I sadly wasn’t able to make one. We did use the complementary bikes, it was hassle free to check them out and such a great way to explore the town. The massages were okay, as expected for the price, but still a nice way to relax. Our room was cute and had everything we needed: towels, bathing supplies, fridge, etc. The bathroom door didn’t have a lock(?) but it was very clean. The room was on the second floor so we were able to see the water which was nice. Since we were having such a good time, we wanted to extend our stay an extra day. We didn’t think it’d be feasible since it was MDW, but the staff was very accommodating and helpful so we were able to do so. Additionally when we asked for recommendations of what to check out, the woman at the front desk took her time showing us all the main attractions and restaurants on a map. Would definitely stay here again next time! So grateful to all the staff at Hero that made it such a memorable weekend.
