Montauk Beach House consistently receives positive feedback regarding its location, stylish rooms, and friendly staff, particularly highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. However, recent reviews have raised concerns about inconsistent service levels, particularly related to pool and bar staffing, and a lack of basic amenities in some rooms.

Fun, funky, hip vibe, clean and modern. Super friendly staff. I didn’t have them, but the tacos looked amazing. Will definitely be returning to MBH.

Great place. Very walkable. Everything is close by. The two pools were great. Staff was friendly. Only thing I would ask management is to add a small mini fridge to the rooms. Or provide if people ask.

The location is close to the beach. The hotel is in good shape. The rooms have bare minimum. It would be great if they added a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee maker in the room. Front desk was friendly.

For the first time being there, it’s a very nice place But I definitely will not come back except for my yoga retreat, which is this weekend. I find out that it was too catered to younger crowds. I am in my late 50s and the music was extremely loud for me! You guys only worried about making money but not worried about the people that are staying in the hotel! Which is one of the reasons why I did not go to Gurnee‘s this weekend. There was also no service on Sunday due to the weather, which is understandable but what about the people that we were staying in the hotel. Also, I sent a text and said I was leaving at 7 AM in the morning Monday and I was told someone will be there at 7 AM. Nobody was there at 7 AM and I also got locked out by the security guard as I was bringing my stuff to my car! I had left the key on the desk and left at 7:30. Then I got a text asking that I didn’t check out and that was 1 o’clock. I understand that you want to make money and you do whatever you can to do so! But your guests are more important because they’re the ones that come back all the time. Thank you

Montauk Beach House is a must stay! Most of our wedding guest stayed there and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the bungalow which was also awesome! The location and vibe can’t be beat!

I don’t usually leave reviews but in the interest of being helpful to other potential guests - here’s what I honestly thought. We visited in the third week of September - weather was still good and rooms still fairly expensive, even for the area. Despite this, we were told repeatedly that it was the end of the season, as an excuse for all sorts of inconveniences and issues. This included things like, the coffee bar not being open (sounds petty - but there was nothing to make coffee with in the room, which feels like bare minimum for a hotel like this), ordering and paying for drinks at the bar, to then being told they didn’t have the ingredients. The staff who worked by the pool and in the coffee bar were absolutely lovely, but all the others you could tell were bored and keen to end for the season. I totally get that - but also, it’s kind of their job?! Anyway it all just felt a bit sloppy and lacklustre, like there was no point making an effort to keep service standards up - despite being still open and charging customers the usual rate to stay lol? Rooms were very average and despite being told the hotel was practically empty, we were put in a room facing away from the pool. Just feel like, in those circumstances you would try and give guests the best experience? Again just made us feel like we were a nuisance and they didn’t care. Anyway I hope this doesn’t make me sound like a Karen - but I wanted to be honest, as it was expensive and I wish I had known this before - I would have stayed somewhere else.

I love the Montauk Beach House and have stayed many times! The rooms are spacious, clean, and stylish. All bathroom toiletries are eco-friendly and fragrance free so are great for people like me who are allergic. The staff is super friendly and accommodating - If you have any issues, they make sure to resolve them quickly. Great food, drinks, location and people. Of course I will return!!

Really disappointing stay. For the price, I expected much better. There were no basics in the room bottled water, not even coffee or a kettle. On top of that, you couldn’t charge food or drinks to your room, which felt really inconvenient given the cost of staying here. Complimentary breakfast was not on offer due to “coffee machine being broken” then offered to walk to a coffee shop round the corner and get myself something. Overall, it was totally overpriced for what you get. Wouldn’t recommend. The location and bed is nice though!

The Montauk Beach house is truly a hidden gem. Well appointed rooms with a nice urban flair, perfect location, great amenities including fabulous poolside lunch options. The staff was super friendly and hard working. The bar has a great vibe and the proximity to the beach is unparalleled. This was our third time and we will definitely be back.

I want to especially thank Marta for all her help during our stay. She was beyond helpful and generous with her time. She gave us great recommendations and so much extra help as we tried to figure out where. to go. We were also so grateful for her help storing our luggage after we checked out. The Montauk BeachHouse let us continue to use the amenities even after we checked out and waited for our train. We had a lovely lunch and some pool time before leaving.
