Baron’s Cove received mixed reviews, with significant issues reported regarding food quality and service speed. While some guests praised specific dishes and the ambiance, particularly in the restaurant, numerous reviews highlighted problems with the kitchen and waitstaff. Recent feedback indicates a decline in overall experience.
CapeResorts has severed its relationship with Baron’s Cove for good reason - its food was awful, its service was terrible and the customer experience was consistently substandard. Perhaps new ownership might remedy its incompetence.
The ambience is nice but boy, the service and the food are lacking. Ordered a pesto that didn't even resemble pesto - or taste like pesto. A lobster pasta that was gloopy -- (the lobster was good the rest tasted amateurish) and the service was insanely slow. Restaurant was less than 1/3 full and yet had to continually wave down random servers to get someone to check on us - no one asked if we wanted water or refills on drinks. A very odd experience. Nice space though! But wow, they need improvement with service and in the kitchen.
My husband and I had dinner at the upstairs restaurant on Friday night. Totally enjoyable. Started with sharing a dozen clams on the half-shell, followed by Lobster Bucatini for him and the Pesto Rigatoni with Shrimp for me. A side of focaccia bread completed the meal. Everything was excellent. And the service from Chris Ann and the rest of the staff was spot on. They are always so pleasant and friendly. Afterwards we headed to the Lounge for an evening of music by Alfredo Merat. He is a talented and entertaining musician who plays a wide variety of music and sings in multiple languages. He was joined by his daughter Lilly Anne for a few songs too. She has a powerful and beautiful voice. It was truly a great way to end the evening. Be sure to check the Barons Cove website for the upcoming music schedule. We'll definitely be back.
The waterfront restaurant at Barons Cove in Sag Harbor provided a picturesque setting for our brunch. My wife and I savored an indulgent meal of Eggs Benedict and a fresh Burrata salad. We dined al fresco on the top-floor veranda, taking in the serene harbor views. The attentive and friendly staff made our experience all the more enjoyable.
Food was underwhelming. The Florentine Omelette was just ok, and the home fries were even more basic. The yogurt felt cheap and not of quality. Service was attentive but overall nothing to write home about.
I had an absolutely delightful experience at Baron's Cove restaurant! The food was not only incredibly delicious but also presented with an artful touch that elevated the dining experience. The excellent service provided by the staff further enhanced the overall ambiance. The outdoor seating area is a true gem, offering breathtaking views that perfectly complemented the culinary journey. If you find yourself in Sag Harbor, this is undeniably a must-visit spot. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Baron's Cove is the perfect place to indulge in a delectable meal while soaking in the charming atmosphere of this picturesque town.
