Unfortunately, this was the worst Marriott experience I have had. The hotel felt chaotic and poorly managed during our stay. There were items left on the ground creating trip hazards, children running through hallways knocking on doors and running away, and objects being thrown into the pool. The environment was particularly concerning for my elderly parents, who were traveling with us. As a long-time Marriott loyalist and Ambassador Elite member through my family account, I expect a safe and comfortable experience. Instead, the atmosphere felt more like a zoo than a hotel. While the staff later acknowledged the issues, the overall experience fell well below the standards I associate with the Marriott brand. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this property again. I see this now from the reviews that it is a recurring event which the hotel has not been able to fix. I have given it a 4 for the location if you are going to be in Long Island and around.

Really a good experience. Hotel is beautiful, staff is kind and helpful, and the rooms are a good size and quality. It's a bit expensive but so is everything else of lower quality in this area. Overall I would recommend this hotel over most others in the area. We did stay during peak times, so it's hard to compare pricing on a slower time period but for peak times, this is definitely the best spot for the cost and experience. If I had to pick apart one thing, it would be that the AC was a bit weak and took a while to cool the room off. If you like it cool at night I would recommend getting the AC going as soon as you check in as it takes hours to actually lower the room temperature. Besides that, perfect.

The hotel staff makes you feel like a valued guest. The restaurant was great for both breakfast and dinner. Steve the bartender went out of his way to make us feel at home when we came in for a late bite to eat. The hotel is clean, the rooms are fresh and the staff all have a smile on their face. I will stay here again when I am in town.

Had a comfortable two night stay in room 4055. This hotel location is a very quiet area of Long Island and was a short drive to Bethpage State Park for my golfing adventures. Front desk was terrific granting an early check-in based on my circumstances for early tee off time at Bethpage Black the following morning. Bed comfort was near ideal; the walk in shower had excellent pressure; room AC worked perfectly; fridge in room was optimal chilling temperature to keep food and drink cold; drapes were as close to black out as possible. Housekeeping is commended as nothing was dirty to my very observant eyes. The only concern was the noise coming from the backlight of the mirror as it made unusual squealing when on in bathroom. From start to finish, I had nothing but a great stay as a Marriott Bonvoy member.

Was a quick weekend trip but the hotel was very accommodating. Was able to get adjoining rooms for us and the kids. Great service - thanks Daniel for taking care of all of our bags. Pool was fun for the kids which was the main reason we picked the hotel. Hotel bar had great food and the staff was very nice - we have 3 energetic young boys and they were able to hang on the couch when we ate. Breakfast was excellent - loved the chocolate chip pancakes and the coffee cake. Thanks again and we will be back for future LI visits.

Leadership matters. Melville Marriott is blessed with an outstanding manager, Cora. During check-in, there had been an error on my company’s end making the reservation. Cora cut through the problem and resolved it quickly and skillfully. Thank you.

While the rooms are clean and well maintained, and the breakfast is truly excellent, noise can unfortunately be an issue on weekends. Guests gathering in the atrium area late at night create significant echo throughout the hotel, which can make sleeping difficult. Rooms facing the interior also share a common balcony with the entire floor, resulting in limited privacy. The hotel staff did address the noise concern, although this occurred approximately three hours after quiet hours had begun.

Drunk people on weekends can make it impossible to sleep. Since their voices echo throughout the hotel atrium. You also share a balcony with the entire floor. Privacy is minimal when in a room on the inside. Poorly designed. Hotel resolved the noise after 3 hrs past quiet hours.

I can't say enough nice things about this location! It's very modern up to date and extremely clean! The lobby and pool are beautiful and very spacious. Me and my wife live on long Island and decided to try the hotel for a early Valentine's Day. They were so great even made up the room is such a cute way it made it really special and made our experience just that much better. The staff was very helpful and quick to help whenever they could. We wish we stayed longer and experienced more they had to offer. I always stayed at Hyatts but I think this experience made me a Marriott customer for life now! Thank you!

The hotel is nice, it’s newly renovated. And the amount of plants inside brings good vibes ? I stayed there 2 times each time for 3 days, the break fast in the M lounge was okay, the food in the restaurant is better. The bed is comfortable. Good size pool. The parking lot is a good size as well.
