The Residence Inn Melville consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, spacious rooms, and exceptional staff. Guests particularly highlight the friendly and accommodating service, especially at the bar and restaurant, with frequent mentions of staff members like Joe, Miguel, Nina, and Eric. While some concerns have been raised regarding potential street noise and occasional bed firmness, the overwhelming sentiment is one of a welcoming and comfortable experience.
The rooms were exceptionally clean and the suite style rooms were so spacious. The free breakfast was the best i’ve had in all other hotels. The gym was also very clean. It had 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 1 bike, and 2 peloton bikes. It had free weights, kettlebells and workout mats! Staff were extremely friendly as well! Check-in and check-out were simple as well.
This hotel is pretty new, so it still has the perks of fresh, clean rooms. Depending on where your room is though, there's a lot of street noise from the 110. This was my experience. Others may have been on a different side of the hotel if they mention it's quiet. Breakfast was fine, although it didn't seem like the waffle maker was cleaned all that well. Good selection. A couple of items changed daily but pretty much the usual. Nothing bad to say about housekeeping. I requested, they came. Overall a decent hotel, nothing flashy. I was there for business and it was a convenient location for where I needed to be.
I have been staying at the Residence Inn for the past five months after a house fire, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and my experience here. Every single employee has been kind, thoughtful, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. The front desk staff is amazing and always goes out of their way to help and make everything easier. The bartenders and wait staff are unbelievable. Joe, Miguel, and Nina are absolutely terrific. They are friendly, attentive, thoughtful, and always create such a relaxing atmosphere. One of the bartenders also gave me the most thoughtful tulip bouquet for Mother’s Day, which truly meant so much to me. It was such a kind gesture and a perfect example of how thoughtful the staff is here. Joe deserves a special mention. My dogs are usually cautious and not overly friendly with people, but they are absolutely delighted when Joe comes by. He is so special with them, always takes the time to give them attention, and it means more than he probably realizes. Chef Eric is exceptional. He is so accommodating, kind, and talented — and his salmon is absolutely perfect every time. He even comes out of the kitchen and always makes time to chat, which is so sweet and thoughtful. You can tell he truly cares about the guests and takes pride in what he does. The complimentary breakfast is also wonderful and always prepared with such care. The morning breakfast staff is another amazing crew who make every morning pleasant and easy. I have an autistic son, and everyone has been so understanding, patient, and kind to him, which I appreciate more than words can say. And the free laundry has been a huge help — with five children, laundry is constant, so that has truly made a difference. What could have been a very difficult and overwhelming situation has been made so much easier because of the people here. The staff has created such a warm, comfortable, and welcoming environment, and I am extremely grateful. They did not just provide a place for us to stay — they made us feel cared for, seen, and supported during one of the hardest chapters of our lives. That kind of kindness is rare, and I will always be grateful.
I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Jennifer at the front desk at the Residence Inn Marriott for making my stay absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with such a warm smile and truly made me feel welcomed and taken care of throughout my entire stay. Jennifer went completely above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and that level of customer service is hard to find these days. The entire front desk staff was also incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful every step of the way. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and overall I had such a great experience staying here. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you again, Jennifer, and thank you to the entire staff for such an amazing experience! ??
The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was amazing! The night prior I hung out with the amazing bartenders Nina, Miguel and Joe. They make great old fashions. Eric the chef, was kind enough to let me taste test a couple of things off the menu. I will be returning again just because of the bar staff and their inviting energy even if I do not have a reservation. See you next Thursday!
Shocked. So glad I ended up here rather than anywhere else in the area. Hospitality? Great! Food? You got to be kidding me - Hotel food this tasty and classy? Chef Eric really showing out. And of course, the Bar? Amazing. Joe, Miguel and Nina are absolute class. Recommended drink: Empress (I personally prefer Roku) + St Germain + Soda Water + citrus (lime/lemon)
I recently stayed at the Residence Inn Melville and had a phenomenal experience. The rooms are incredibly spacious, very clean, and well-maintained, providing a perfect home-away-from-home feel. The free breakfast was a great start to every morning, offering a fresh and varied selection that really stands out. A massive shout-out to the bar team—Nina, Miguel, and Joe are absolute rockstars! They are so polite and welcoming, crafting amazing drinks and creating a fun, lively atmosphere at the bar. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel like family. I also have to give a huge kudos to Eric, the head chef. Everything we tried on the menu was stellar—the food is simply top-notch and expertly prepared. It is rare to find hotel dining where every single dish is a hit. Overall, the entire staff is incredibly nice and professional. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable stay with exceptional service and food, I highly recommend this hotel!
We had a great stay at the new Residence Inn in Melville. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and very well designed — the lounge area with the fireplace is especially cozy and inviting. The staff was friendly and accommodating the entire time. David, the General Manager, personally made sure we were taken care of, which really meant a lot. The bar and restaurant were a huge plus — delicious food, great specialty drinks, and Joe, Nina, and Miguel behind the bar were fantastic. They truly made us feel welcome. Our suite was spacious and laid out perfectly with a full kitchen, dining area, couch, desk, two bedrooms, and two large bathrooms — it honestly felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. The gym, pool, free hot breakfast (with a big selection), and 24/7 coffee were all great extras. Jennifer runs the breakfast area and does a wonderful job — everything was fresh and well organized. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!
My husband and I stayed at this property on and off for 2 months we were in between a place to live. If I could give more than five stars, I would, I love this hotel. Everything is new. The staff is excellent. They have a really good gym with peloton’s, they have a really nice heated pool. You can do your laundry every morning there is free breakfast. There’s plenty of parking and if you have a Tesla, they have Tesla chargers if you’re a guest of the hotel. I always felt safe here especially leaving early and coming home late from work. And the rooms are really nice. It has a really nice kitchen You get a stove, a microwave an oven and dishwasher. Everything is new and updated. I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting the area. It’s close to a lot of things. I’ll be staying here one more time soon and I’m pretty excited about it. :-)
One of the nicest Marriott properties I’ve been to in years. Great rooms, great breakfast to include a few gluten free options. This place will be our new go-to when staying near Republic airport!
