One of the best hotel and BNB experiences we’ve had. Beth is a warm, communicative host with a charming and beautifully kept home. Everything felt thoughtfully updated, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was great. We used the bikes daily. We’ve already recommended Seven and Shelter Island to others based on our experience, we’d happily come back.

Amazing from the minute you walk in. Beautiful cozy BnB vibe while feeling very private. The rooms are nice and big with king beds and the nicest comforter ever made. 7 min walk to sunset beach but there are complimentary bikes if you wanna use them. Breakfast set with care every morning and little details to make your stay memorable, like having everything you need to make smore's every night or fresh cut watermelon ready for the hottest part of the day so you can take to the pool. Big selection of books and games to take. Beth really takes care of the experience and you can tell she loves doing it, she definitely went above and beyond. Next trip this will definitely be our place to stay

An absolute gem! Everything was spotless, and you can tell how much care and attention goes into every little detail. Beth is an incredibly kind and welcoming host who made us feel like we were visiting a friend rather than staying at a hotel. The thoughtful extras truly set this place apart—complimentary bikes, beach chairs, hats, and even high-quality organic sunscreen available for guests. The breakfast was delicious, and the whole experience felt personal, comfortable, and relaxing. Can't wait to come back!

I LOVE Seven! Beth and staff are so professional and kind. The breakfast was a bounty of all the breakfast items I love… healthy choices with some yummy croissants. Coffee was outstanding. I felt so at home with all the cozy and super clean spaces to relax. Poolside was amazing and serene. ! I can’t wait to go back again and again. Peaches the beautiful dog was a highlight for me Pure joy she is! Thank you Beth for creating such a gorgeous place that oozes style and charm. So easy to get to from Hartford, CT. Took the ferry from New London CT. So much easier than going to Cape Cod. Seven is my new favorite road trip for a recharge and to enjoy the peacefulness and natural beauty that Shelter Island had to offer. This Inn is a true gem.

This is the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. Beth’s impeccable taste is apparent as everything in the home is tasteful and of the highest quality. She’s an excellent host that makes it feel like you’re staying in the cozy home of a friend who happens to collect art and books. The mattress, duvet and pillows were so soft it felt like I was sleeping enveloped in a cloud. The baked goods at breakfast were phenomenal, although the offerings were a bit light on protein. Peaches the very cute Weimaraner will join you for breakfast, but it’s best to ignore her completely since paying her too much attention caused her to bark. Do be warned that the floors are so well polished that they are a bit slippery. The gravel road in front of their parking area could use a grading and had large puddles when we arrived because it had just rained, but they were pretty much dry by the time we left four days later. I had to deduct a star because the hot water was only just warm enough to not be cold, which was good enough to get the job done in the warm weather but was not relaxing and would be a bit chilling if it’s the same temperature in the winter.

Amazing BnB that was designed so tastefully. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. Beth is a great host who gave us great Shelter Island recommendations and made sure that we always had enough breakfast and coffee! Will definitely be back in the future!

Five Stars!! Seven on Shelter Island is a true art-filled gem and the kind of place you wish you could keep to yourself! It is set in a stunning location, that even on a snowy winter weekend, perfectly captured the peaceful beauty of the island. Our welcoming and friendly host Beth, thoughtfully curated the house with art and furniture from her well-trained eye for beauty and function. It is a serene haven, by any standard. Our mornings were a highlight thanks to the divine breakfast that was provided—fresh, beautifully prepared, and made with care. It was the perfect way to start our day of exploring and/or simply relaxing on the property (which included vintage Pendleton wool blankets to keep us warm on the porch!) No review would be complete without mention of Beth's "co-host" Peaches", her beautiful Weimaraner who helped make this BNB house feel like home! If you’re looking for a luxurious yet intimate escape with heart, character, and impeccable hospitality, Seven on Shelter Island delivers in every way. We will be back!! D&D

Beth is the absolute best! Accommodating a last minute booking with an extra bed for our daughter, and food and water bowls for our pooch, she welcomed us like family. Her attention to detail made our off season stay wonderful in every way, not least of all with the delicious breakfast spread enjoyed looking out past a burning fireplace at the softly falling snow outside. The property is manicured, the structures are immaculate and the art is curated. We look forward to our return in the warmer months when we can enjoy the pool!

We had read wonderful reviews before booking, but our stay far exceeded our expectations. When we arrived, we were greeted like old friends. Beth’s warmth and hospitality shone through in every thoughtful touch throughout the inn. The rooms were immaculate and fresh, and the common areas were cozy and inviting. The pool was a perfect 10! Whether we were enjoying a delicious breakfast that felt straight out of a French café or sitting by the fire at night chatting with new friends, everything about the weekend was divine. It was the perfect place to unwind, be present, and truly relax. And of course, we can’t forget Peaches, the sweetest, most loving inn dog who made our stay even more special. Had an amazing weekend here! Beth is so kind, the rooms were beautiful, the property is stunning, and the breakfast was delicious. Beth’s dog is a sweetheart and it is dog friendly if you want to bring your pups. It’s a great location in walking distance from the beach, and they provide beach gear to use. Will definitely be returning when we come back to shelter island.
