Guests frequently praise the Hampton Inn Brookhaven for its clean rooms, comfortable beds, and exceptional service, often highlighting staff like Kevin Raynor and Ray for their kindness. However, the experience is heavily impacted by widespread complaints regarding mandatory parking fees, which are described as a hidden money grab. Additionally, several guests noted issues with noise levels and room maintenance.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Entire hotel is clean. Rooms have a lot of space and relaxing. Downside to the hotel is water in the morning is freezing, first floor, you hear people coming in and out all night long and loud people. Don't recommend staying on the first floor. The bathrooms by the pool were always locked. Overall it was not a bad stay, the beds are very comfortable, just a lot of noise from people even during the week. Lots of shops and food nearby.
I used to stay in Hilton hotels but will never again... My wife is physically handicapped and needs to use handicapped parking...to find out we were charged 15.00 a night equalling 60.00 for our stay i feel is horrible... especially being the charge was buried in the receipt and we were never told of this. I also paid for my daughter's room bringing the total cost of our stay to $90.00 for parking... Had i known of this i could have dropped my wife off with my daughter and parked in the adjoining non-hilton lot and my son-in-law and i could have walked across the dark freezing properties to get to you... great customer relations....why don't you put that on your website or in your commercials... I want to check with the ADA and see how they feel about your charging to use handicap spaces.
Excellent overnight stay with our Labrador Retreiver. Super friendly front desk manager Kevin Raynor and night front desk gentleman Ishmael made checking in and out a breeze! Clean and comfortable room. Highly recommend!
My go to hotel when visiting family on the island. Very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Breakfast is great for free with very good waffles, and the indoor pool is very warm and clean. This is overall a very nice hotel. It is right next to the LIE which makes it very convenient to go wherever you need to.
My husband and I checked in today at this hotel. We were staying at Wyndham/Laquinta inn. because of the convenience, price. However, this hotel is by far the better pick. I have two kitties. So, any hotel we check in needs to be pet friendly. This hotel is pet friendly. You pay $75. Plus since we are staying 4 nights there's a $300.00 deposit. My husband only had $803. the total was $923. On his card. So, he was going to use another card for the remainder. The staff lowered the amount so he only needed to use one card. The staff here are just amazing! The staff that worked Sat 3:35 pm @ 12/20/25. They were so nice. I will be coming here for now on. Even though we are further from his job now. Thank you Hampton inn for being clean and professional. Edit: One thing I do NOT like is the BS $15. Parking fee. What is it for? There isn't security. I believe this is a money grab! It isn't a deal breaker. However, this will not be our first choice!
I’ve stayed here a couple times for work and wanted to give positive feedback in particular to Ray!! The rooms and breakfast are great. Ray helped me when I called stressed out about delays and work things. There had to be changes and stuff with my reservation and pricing. Everything got sorted out!! It goes a long way when the staff is very kind and personable. Thank you so much!!! Looking forward to staying here again for work more times!!
Initially I had a very nice stay, and the price wasn't bad. I checked in and was given the receipt for the two nights and the $200 deposit. I was told by the concierge I would receive $200 back after my stay. I checked out at 3:00 a.m. and didn't bother to look at the receipt. When I got to my destination I looked at the receipt and there was a charge for parking, two nights of parking for a total of $32!! At no point during my check-in did the concierge mention this. I stayed there for the competitive price. When I say somewhere I don't like surprises, this was a big disappointment especially from Hilton hotels. I'm a veteran and a honors member. I probably won't be staying there again. That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard of. And I think $15 is too much! I called and complained and they wouldn't make an adjustment. Shame on you Hilton hotels!
Always have a pleasent stay here. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is better than a continental. Pool water quality is always perfect and temps pleasent. Thats what I do and water always tests good, which is rare! Thank you Steve, in maintenance, for doing a great job! Keep up the good work. Cking in with Kevin is always super helpful, inviting and pleasent. For the owners, Please stop charging for parking! It really pisses people off! I escaped this time, so 5 stars instead of 4.
Stayed here for a staycation/ business trip. The service was great… it was 95 degrees when I checked inn and I received free water bottles for my stay. When I got into the room though the faucet almost fell apart when I tried to wash up and wash my hands. It literally came apart. I’m checking out today and hopefully they don’t keep my deposit. You have to pay for parking which was not posted when I booked the room. Overall I’d stay here again though. Not too bad, I’ve seen worst.
Hilton chain is too minimalist. If you stay more than 1 night, you'll be hard pressed to find a place for your clothes. There is only a three-tiered basket & hangers in the closet. No amenities except facial tissues. Most unacceptable is the unwarranted & surprise parking fee given the hotel parking lot is quite large. Bathroom towels are smaller than expected. I may have to giveup Hilton Honors. The room is spacious & clean.
