Excellent location. Excellent host. Breakfasts are to die for or rather after one you are not hungry till the next day.

I cannot recommend the Stirling House enough! We stayed here this past weekend and I truly couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. The bed and breakfast’s owner, Clay was great, he was super friendly and really goes above and beyond. Not to mention, he’s a published chef and the breakfasts and desserts he made were incredible, some of the best food we ate in Greenport. I really appreciated his hospitality and warmth. The room itself was so cozy, everything was very clean and thoughtfully laid out. We had plenty of towels and the main area is stocked with tea, coffee, and plenty of snacks. The location was great too, very convenient walking distance from most major attractions in Greenport. As an added bonus, the view from the font porch is wonderful, it overlooks an idyllic pier where you can watch boats pass by. All in all, the Stirling House was a great choice for our weekend stay in Greenport and I can’t wait to return.

Clay is amazing!! First time in greenport and he was giving us recs. He is super friendly and his food is amazing. I still can’t stop thinking about his house bread rolls and strawberry jam! His breakfast and snacks are definitely what I would come back for and the room is super cute, comfy & cozy!

Everything was perfect at this charming B&B. The room was lovely and comfortable, the location convenient, and the host Clay was welcoming, informative, and most of all very talented. The breakfasts were creative, fresh, and delicious. In addition, the afternoon snacks homemade and yummy. I felt very taken care of. Highly recommend!

What a pleasant experience! Never stayed at a bed & breakfast location before. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised about this location. We were literally 1 block from downtown Greenport to make things very convenient. The hospitality was beyond our expectations. From the fresh baked pastries upon arrival to the self-serve snack and coffee serving area. Complete with sodas, snacks, and a bottle of Prosecco for the wife and I. The breakfast each morning was just the best, the highlight of our stay. The freshness and quality of food is what you would expect from a 1st rate chef. Guess what, he is! Who knew until I did more research. He even has a cookbook that is in bookstores. Wow, thank you again Clay for such a great experience. My wife and I look forward to another stay, hopefully in the near future.

My wife and I have stayed here twice and have had an excellent experience both times. The view from the house is great and we love it is literally down the street from downtown Greenport. Clay is so friendly and knowledgeable about all the best restaurants & wineries. The breakfasts he makes are so delicious! We had to rebook our latest trip because we both came down with COVID and Clay was so kind about us rebooking and let us use our cancelation fee towards our next stay. I highly recommend The Stirling House as this is the one BnB we would ever go to when we go out to Greenport for a weekend.

First time in a B@B with my wife since we had children. Location is excellent, walking distance to any site of interest, with a bench across the front lawn to sit on and watch traffic over the water and Shelter Island beyond. The house, the bedrooms and the dining area are all very tastefully decorated, clean and welcoming. Clay, our host, couldn’t have been nicer and being a trained pastry chef, his breakfasts were a delight. We stayed two days, but these felt like a wonderful mini-vacation. We recommend The Sterling House very highly.

Best Bed and Breakfast. Clay is an amazing host who makes you feel welcomed and at home. He is an outstanding cook who truly aims to please. The rooms are clean and well decorated. Clay is a gracious and passionate person who just wants to make sure everyone has a great time. Once you visit you won’t want to leave.
