Location was fantastic as I was bringing my son for his move in to the dorm at Stony Brook. Everyone was super helpful when asked a question, or requested anything. The restaurant was very good wait staff/bartenders were lovely, and we all enjoyed our food (both dinnerfor all of us and my son had the breakfast buffet). I even had the official Stony Brook brewery beer that was on the menu with my dinner- the Chuggernaut (which was really good!). It was quiet, water pressure in the shower was amazing, and everything was clean to expectations. We had the top floor - which I chose specifically and we had no issues with noise of any kind. I will definitely be staying again next time I come down for a visit or for when I pick my son up at the end of the spring semester (and then the following fall). Definitely will be frequenting this hotel for the next few years. I am also a Hilton Silver Rewards member, but that didn't really play into my review in any way except for the fact I can check in on the app and get a virtual key. Unsure if that available to those that aren't a member. I believe becoming a memebe is free, although I'm not sure how the tiers work...they've been helpful to me in the past as well though - so check into it!

In town for a wedding. Loved the experience here. The all you can eat morning breakfast was worth the cost. The whole hotel has a nice calming smell. Everyone working here is very friendly.

Danielle and Tara were wonderful helping us get situated early!!! Our rooms were nice, cool and clean!!! Parking was great and the location on Long Island was perfect!!!! If we are in the area we will definitely stay again! A++++

Rated for three reasons, 1) Lived here for the first time, was assigned a room right next to the exhaust fans without warning, requested for a room change because it was hard to sleep with the constant low frequency noises from the fan, but the front desk simply replied there was no room available in a second. This could be true, but the way it was handled was not great. 2) when checking in, front desk asked if the room shall be cleaned every day or every other day or not at all, answered every day, but didn't clean the next day. Why asking in the first place? 3) when checking in, didn't give the free water for honor members, had to ask to get the water, not sure if this is the norm now?

Came for a long weekend in Long Island with my boyfriend. The staff is out of this world! Adam the restaurant manager works so hard and makes the guests his #1 priority. He opened the bar early for us one afternoon and remembered our drinks. He was a delight to talk to & considering he just got married and hadn’t had a day off I’d say he’s a true asset to this property. Thank you for everything!

Very disappointed! Moved hotel reservation to this hotel because I was guaranteed 82 degree heated pool. Spoke to front desk the sent maintenance very nice man super knowledgeable. Waited an hour and a half for pool to get heated... same temperature maybe even colder . Then I tried in the morning Pool room very toasty water super cold. Resterant great food amazing night time service Front dealt day staff very nice great costumer service Night staff also super nice great customer service. Free breakfast delicious would have loved for my food to get to my table hot Morning service person only seems to have customer service for white businesses people Every other person got thier eggs right away

You walk down in the morning and there's food in the dining area, not unlike any other hotel's continental breakfast. The typical canned fruit in a bowl, yogurt cups and bread. As you walk around and look a guy walks up asking if he can help you, then explains that it's $18.00. The issue is not the exhorbanent price for what is considered free continental breakfast at the most cockroach infested motels, its the lack of signage and slow pace of the employee that feels like a trick. Almost as if they want you to take a plate and start eating thinking that it's included. Other than that the hotel was adequate.

I had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Stony Brook. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was spotless and comfortable, which made my stay even better. I also ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The French toast was especially amazing! Overall, a really pleasant experience—I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient for SBU admitted student visit. A bit isolated if you're without car. Rooms comfortable and quiet and loved the digital key checkin. Breakfast convenient and better quality than free places. Room had slow drains and beds were quite uncomfortable, both of us had back pain next day, probably mattresses need update. Surprised bc of Hilton brand. Unrestful stay. So convenient for campus touring.

Spacious, clean and quiet rooms. Lobby and surrounding entrance is often busy, but up in the rooms it’s nice and quiet/private. Comfortable beds and good tv. Added access to some of the streaming services was a good touch as well. Nice area and would stay again. Near a lot of late night food spots
