Convenient for SBU admitted student visit. A bit isolated if you're without car. Rooms comfortable and quiet and loved the digital key checkin. Breakfast convenient and better quality than free places. Room had slow drains and beds were quite uncomfortable, both of us had back pain next day, probably mattresses need update. Surprised bc of Hilton brand. Unrestful stay. So convenient for campus touring.

Spacious, clean and quiet rooms. Lobby and surrounding entrance is often busy, but up in the rooms it’s nice and quiet/private. Comfortable beds and good tv. Added access to some of the streaming services was a good touch as well. Nice area and would stay again. Near a lot of late night food spots

We finally got that place between Christmas and New Year. The pool is small but well maintained. The room wasn't big but was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to visit Stony Brook University, and it's even walkable to the train station if you don't have a car. They don't provide free breakfast, but if you add it to your booking, you won't regret it. Definitely recommend — hope to be back.

I stay here a few nights per month and particularly enjoy the people, the food, and the genetically upkeep of the place. Lauryn is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming at the front desk. Patti at the bar is attentive and creates a cheerful atmosphere. The food by Kai is way beyond expectation. I have probably tried half the items on the menu by this point and literally every single dish coming out of the kitchen has been excellent.

Overall: nice comfy lobby area. Clean, relatively updated rooms. Dining: (breakfasts are $18 extra - not included) are the usual Hilton Hampton/Garden Inn type, but the specially made waffles were a nice treat. Great service from staff. Bathrooms: Our rooms tub area needs caulk redone and grout scrubbed. Mold on caulk and stained grout. Problem with the tub faucet gave us warm but not hot water for showers. Staff: AWESOME ?. Special thanks go to Pierrot, who was always smiling, helpful, and made each guest feel taken care of. We would stay here again. Proximity to good restaurants and coffee shops.

This place seems like it's the only game in town. Staff was friendly and helpful at every point of contact. Restaurant staff even above and beyond. There was an anomaly where there were items from a room in the hallway that seemed to take forever to get picked up. Only downside is an odd smell throughout the hotel. I will be there on back to back weekend for back to back weddings, so I will update. Shortly.

I used this hotel for a room block for my wedding. I provided the exact number of welcome bags for my guests, gave simple instructions to the staff, and told all my guests to make sure they got their bags. However, my cousin and aunt were delayed due to weather and when they checked in, they were told there was no bag for their room. The only possibility is that the staff took the bag meant for their room and lied about it. It was full of snacks and treats for my guests and they assumed that these guests weren’t coming based on their delayed arrival. They also didn’t provide bags to my guests who arrived first and I was luckily present and able to tell them that they need to be giving the bags to the guests checking in. I know they had a note written and the bags were easily accessible. Absolutely ridiculous when they boast about their wedding room block. AVOID USING THEM UNLESS YOU DONT INTEND TO GIVE OUT GIFT BAGS TO GUESTS!

Lobby is nice, location is as well. As soon as we hit the elevator i noticed how dirty and beat up it was. Carpets in hallways were also dirty, like they haven’t vacuumed in a week. Rooms are beat up, especially the bathroom, had mold on the ceiling and large amounts of caulk around the base of the shower with mold. I booked when it showed breakfast was included and yet we were charged 36 dollars for breakfast, even after asking a lady working in the food area. I sent a message to Hilton as we are honors members, they don’t care and have zero customer service etiquette. I will stop booking with Hilton, as they just take your money and don’t care if their customers are happy. Look at all the negative reviews, they post the same nonsense about how sorry they are but in fact they provide no relief to the complaints. Book an Air bnb instead, I take care of my guests unlike this terrible establishment. This is the second time we have had a bad experience with Hilton as in Melbourne Florida we had bums walking through the lobby and using the pool area, I complained and nothing was done.

I was in town for business and had an excellent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. I received exceptional service from the front desk staff, especially from Lauryn. She was fantastic and also remembered my name throughout my stay. The beds were very comfortable, the room was quiet, and the restaurant was convenient especially after a long travel day. I will be back when in town again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and while the room was clean and comfortable, I was surprised to find that for a $250 per night stay, there was no complimentary breakfast included. Most hotels at this price point — and even those with lower rates — offer at least a basic continental breakfast. It felt a little disappointing, especially when you expect that to be part of the experience. The staff was polite and the stay itself was fine, but for the cost, I expected more value and amenities. If breakfast or small conveniences matter to you, I’d recommend double-checking what’s included before booking.
