There is Drug Trafficking going on out the back door parking lot! I stayed at the Holiday Inn at 1730 North Ocean Ave Holtsville NY on 5.28.26 on the 2nd floor. I couldn't sleep bc a door below me kept banging so loud for hours that the walls in my room shook. I went down the stairwell to the 1st floor and I noticed the back door to the parking lot was Jimmied open and people were coming and going like a revolving door. I went in and out of the door myself without a key? I walked back up stairs and called the front desk. A woman answered and I explained what was happening and that the door needs to lock and I don't feel safe. She said " ok I'll lock it". I told her the lock has been jimmied open and that there are disconnected wires . Her response was " this is the first I've heard about this". I went back upstairs down the end of the hallway from my room and looked out the window that has a view of the parking lot. I saw a guy and a girl in a car right by the broken door doing drugs and I took pictures and video ?. There were other people in the parking lot just sitting in their cars doing who knows what? I walked downstairs to the lobby and explained to the another woman employee at the desk what was up and that I wanted to leave. Her response was "well they're doing drugs in their car and I can't do anything about that. I said well they're going in and out of the unlocked door, don't you guys watch the cameras? There's drug trafficking going on duh! Her response was I can move you to another room on the 3rd floor. So at this point It was late and I was so tired. I said ok but asked her for a credit for my room ,I said " this is rediculious". She said I don't have the authority to refund your money. It was late and I felt trapped. I must of slept about 3-4hrs and I was pist! In the morning I just grabbed my stuff and couldn't get out of this place fast enough. Worst experience ever at a Holiday Inn !!! Some Holiday!

Living in the south you understand people in New York are not as nice but damn even when checking into a hotel? Checked in late Sunday night and JR was not nice or welcoming at all. No smile. No warmth. Nothing!!! As a consumer spending my hard earned money simple things like a smile and a welcome to the holiday inn go a very long way. When I return to NY I will never stay at that hotel because I’m sure I’ll take a better experience no matter how much it costs me. I let him know he wasn’t very nice and a punishment when I came back into the lobby after getting my bags he watched myself and guest wander around looking for the elevators when he could of directed us. The hotel security deposit is still being held as well which is very weird because the hotel we stayed at the next day has already released. Hotel rooms are nice but I’ll pass staying again because customer service is KEY

Front desk stuff was great, and rooms were clean. What have surprised me was that despite location right next to I-495 and its Express service road, and busy parking lot square at all times, there was no external noise, so soundproofing is really good here. The only noise that could be heard occasionally was from internal corridor’s door opening. With restaurant on premises and transparent breakfast options prices, I would rather avoid prepaying extra for breakfast (gives more flexibility and there is no buffet option anyway).

I have stayed at this hotel several times when traveling for work. The manager is doing a great job here. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly, efficient and accommodating. I hope corporate is making note of the dynamic of this staff.

This place is perfect. The hotel itself is spotless and the rooms are wonderful. I stay here for business and pleasure quite often, and I am never disappointed. I am an IHG Member and to my surprise my visit last night was greeted with a free upgraded room from standard to a king size suite which was amazing, and a little care package complete with bottles of water and snacks. The room was amazingly super clean and like my own little apartment. Love the Sonoma Grill for some drinks and great food attached to the hotel. The staff is super friendly and will continue to patronize this lovely place repeatedly.

We were visiting family and this was a perfect location. Appeared to be recently upgraded. Big plus, the heater/air conditioner was whisper quiet! The staff performed above expectations. Multiple holiday denominations displayed in the lobby. Plenty of parking. Free breakfast is not available, but there is a restaurant attached. We were happy with our stay.

This property is a hidden gem nestled pretty much in the center of Long Island accessible to everything at you fingertips… we were greeted courteously by the front desk concierge who promptly place us in a room on the third per our request … the room was cozy and super clean… we felt high at home away from home. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel the “Sonoma Grill was such a convenient add on to our expertise. Food was excellent; portion was large and the service was also exceptional. I highly recommend this local for any eager traveler!

First I just want to address that J.R. at the desk needs a raise. He was extremely patient and professional. I say this because the lobby had about 5 Noticably iMpATieNt people waiting behind us… but mine and my boyfriend’s check in was tedious, under our circumstances. It wasn’t anyone’s fault. We originally had a prior reservation under a hotel block for a wedding at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Unfortunately, they had flood damage in 10 rooms that day.. and even though it was 11pm, they didn’t think to call us. They decided to wait until we got there to let us know, and sent us to the Holiday Inn. They had covered the cost but the process to get the room from another hotel, to another hotel, was annoying, for us. They offered us 1 night at the Holiday Inn and 1 night back at their hotel (the Regency) so we did it because we already drove there. I’m grateful that they did because the Holiday Inn was spectacular. Honestly. The Hyatt Regency was unfathomably a nightmare. Anyway… this hotel was clean and accommodating, and probably the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in that supplied a microwave in the room? To everyone checking in, be patient with the staff please……. It’s not their fault that some of the people checking-in are just inconvenienced customers from the Hyatt ?

Updated at the bottom. Rooms are as you would expect for 3 star hotels. They are clean, well kept, and most do stock a fridge plus microwave. Service is exceptional here and I did want to make a special point of it. Staff is extremely nice And helpful plus they will go out of their way to help with the smallest things if they are able. Attached restaurant was ok food which is also convenient. Nothing special to look at in the surrounding area or even through windows aesthetically speaking but that's not really the hotels fault I suppose. Decently priced but usually does have slightly cheaper options via 3rd party when it comes to pricing. Plus it does have laundry facilities if needed. No breakfast options but the restaurant does. Update: Unfortunately I am lowering the rating from 5/5 to 3/5. The service from 2nd shift and 3rd shift is excellent however I cannot say the same for first shift. I did extend my stay here for a total of 7 days and I was going to do another day but I would rather stay somewhere else now. Badgering. Disrespectful. You shouldn't start your sentence with " I'm not trying to be mean but" and then telling me to extend by 11am or they won't do it. Then after walking away telling her colleague something similar saying if he doesn't do it by 11am tomorrow to not process it. They ended up towing the whole customer service thing out of the window with this interaction. Called my room like five times yesterday in less than an hour in the morning about exchanging keys when I said I would be there in like 30 minutes in the morning. They need to do better. Talking badly about your customers when they can still hear you probably not the best way to go in keeping them as your customers, just a thought.
