We arrived in Long Island, Homewood Suites at 230pm for a family wedding. Tried to checked in and the receptionist said the room isn't ready and they had no other available rooms. Our wedding started at 4 PM. And we didn't get into the room until 3:30pm. Obviously we're late for the wedding. I asked the receptionist if there's something he can do for us. He looked at me with a bland stare and said No, no discount. Nothing. On top of being belligerent, The hallways and rooms smell musty. The morning "free breakfast " sucked bad, we couldn't wait to leave this dump.

????? We stayed at Homewood Suites Melville for over five months, and it truly felt like our home away from home. The staff was exceptional throughout our stay—always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help with anything we needed. They consistently went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and the suites were spacious and comfortable for an extended stay. The complimentary breakfast and amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. We are very grateful to the entire team for making our long stay such a positive experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Homewood Suites Melville to anyone looking for a comfortable place with outstanding customer service.

Stay Clear—Dirty Rooms, Smoke Odors and Horrific Guest Relations We booked a one-week stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Island-Melville through Hotels.com because the rate was approximately $100 cheaper per night than what the front desk quoted, even though the booking process appeared to redirect us to Hilton’s website. We reserved a non-smoking king suite for two adults and our toddler, who has asthma. When we checked in late Friday night, the first room reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel was advertised as non-smoking, yet the hallways and common areas also smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. This was especially concerning because of our child’s asthma. The front desk moved us to another room, but the second room was also unacceptable. The sheets smelled strongly of another person’s perfume and did not appear to have been changed. I stripped the bed and was fortunate that we had brought our own blankets to sleep on. When we attempted to shower, all of the toiletries were empty. The following morning, we asked a housekeeping employee for clean sheets and replacement toiletries. Instead of assisting us, she took out her cell phone and walked away. We then spoke with a pleasant woman at the front desk who took down our room number and assured us that clean sheets and toiletries would be delivered while we were out. When we returned later that afternoon, nothing had been provided. We called the front desk and spoke with Denise, who was argumentative, dismissive and extremely unpleasant. She repeatedly told us that housekeeping only services rooms every other day and that the hotel has approximately 600 rooms. She completely missed the point: we were not demanding additional housekeeping. We were explaining that the room did not appear to have been properly cleaned or restocked before we checked in. There were no garbage bags, no extra toilet paper, empty toiletries and questionable bedding. We were told someone might come around 5:00 or 6:00 p.m., but by that point we were simply asking for clean sheets and basic supplies. We ultimately had to purchase our own toiletries, adding even more expense to a stay costing more than $200 per night. The elevator was also out of service, creating another major inconvenience. The breakfast buffet was a joke and did not come close to what should be expected from a Hilton-branded hotel at this price. Between the cigarette and marijuana odors, dirty bedding, empty supplies, broken elevator, poor breakfast, lack of follow-through and horrific guest relations, this hotel was not worth the price. The way Denise handled our concerns was completely inappropriate for someone working in customer service. Stay clear of this property. Guests paying more than $200 per night should not have to fight for clean sheets, toilet paper, toiletries or a smoke-free environment.

Easy to find, plenty parking, checked in late front desk very helpful with getting a luggage cart. Beautiful dining area, gym looked clean the pool and hot tub area as well really nice sized! The room was BEAUTIFUL/CLEAN! Nice touch name on the tv when turned on! (Or might have been on when we walked in lol) full kitchen, big fridge with freezer, bed OMG SOOOO COMFORTABLE! Pillows perfect we had asked for a crib that was already setup for us! Bathroom as well spacious and clean. What can I say? Great for I’m sure business trip stop, single trip stop, couple getaway or family too! We were very pleased and best part?! Breakfast decent timing really great array of fresh food for everyone to enjoy, a late check out omg ! So we had breakfast, can came back up an able to rest an relax before packing up an taking the trip home. Thank you for such a great stay for our family ??

I rarely give reviews but this hotel is exceptional! My family and I traveled in on a Wednesday evening and arrived just in time to enjoy a delicious homemade complimentary dinner of chicken, potatoes and a freshly prepared salad. We are a family of foodies and I must say, I don't know that we could have prepared it better ourselves! What a welcoming touch from the Homewood Melville after a long day of travel. I know we lucked out since Wednesday is the only day they offer it and we just happened to make it, but it definitely set the tone. The staff is welcoming and dedicated and immediately helped us with anything we needed. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was in beautiful shape and very clean. We didn't really use any other amenities as we were visiting family in the area, but the gym and pool also looked inviting. We may return to the area in October and will definitely stay here again!

The rooms are spacious and clean. We didn’t have a chance to experience the complimentary breakfast but I’m sure we would have enjoyed it! Mark and Jessica were wonderful hosts. Both were very helpful, professional, kind, and accommodating. I didn’t see a hair dryer in the room but I think that was my fault for not checking the drawers! I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

We stayed here for a soccer tournament and it was lovely (one of the best Homewood Suites I’ve ever stayed in). Unfortunately, we had to cancel our second night because of weather and to my surprise, the hotel refunded our entire group! This is the epitome of excellent customer service. We also liked the helpful front desk staff, the spotlessly clean rooms, the well stocked and clean breakfast and the overall helpfulness and kindness of every staff we encountered. Well done. As someone who travels often, this is a gem of a place. Keep up the good work!

I am local. Loving for a staycation local to where I live found this Hilton where I could use my points and have a wonderful night out with my husband with a hot tub and pool.. Reading several reviews found out that If you stay on a Wednesday, there’s a complementary buffet dinner included with your stay We had chicken mashed potatoes and corn with salad and soup, cookies, ice cream and all you can have beer and wine. It was fantastic. It doesn’t compare to Olive Garden but if you’re looking for something quick simple and enjoyable that is free or you don’t have to leave this is fantastic again it’s not a Michelin star review but if you’re looking for something fast, quick simple, easy and free it checks off all the boxes. My husband and I were happy to come and drink their beer. Drink their wine sit in the hot tub, eat their food and take ice cream to go back to the room which I have to say the room was absolutely gorgeous clean refrigerator or dishwasher pots pans stove, top separate bedroom king size bed, ample towels, definitely someplace you’d wanna come for a local staycation dog, friendly outdoor barbecue outdoor fire pit very enjoyable. I give it two thumbs up for what my husband and I were looking

Mark at the front desk was very personable, he gave great recommendations, and the staff overall was great. The suites are very spacious, the kitchenette was actually more than sufficient, 2 bathrooms, living room. Truth be told the booking was solidified knowing they had a hot tub (being that it’s currently 5° out). The included breakfast was pretty solid (and I’ve been to many hotels where it was just alright), waffle making station, oatmeal station, cereals, baked goods and bagels, egg/ burrito station). Overall a great experience. Will definitely be returning.

My husband and I are here for an extended stay. The staff at the customer service desk is excellent and extremely helpful, friendly and professional. The kitchen staff is just as friendly and warm. They prepare an excellent choice of hot and cold foods for breakfast. They also host a weekly Wednesday evening free social dinner. This is the first hotel I’ve been to that dos such events regularly. I can’t say enough about how great the front desk customer service and kitchen staff are. They are really nice people, all of them. Great atmosphere ?! Highly recommend to anyone!
