Worst Experience I HAVE EVER HAD -- Ubered there went to upstairs bar there looks like there 16 year olds getting served from bartender with Silver ( oh year they have 1 Bartender ) in any invent i ask for a double it's 2:23 AM i am completely composed -- she tells me Thats not allowed of course i say sno problem i'll a Single ( last call is 2:45 which she didnt call Complete incompetence ) So sip it quick as i would like to get another and hit some slots and electronic roulette --- She tells me i cannot serve you 2 drinks until 5 mins pass i said well 5 mins elapsed and had i known that ( clearly she knew i wanted 2 drink shence double she thens to rudely slam a plastic sign with the rules that none apply to me so i ask to speak to her supervisor just on principle she radio's a gentlemen nice guy he then goes on to tell me " ultimately it's her call SO WHY ARE YOU THE SUPERVISOR IF YOU CANT MAKE THE CALL l and to call tomorrow to make a complaint . the whole time she is arguing with all different patrons . and then 2 more employees approach me am she does this all the time ( oh BTW i tipped her $10 0n $ 15 ) i would advise no one to go to that bar she is slow , incompetent , and had the look like she juts wanted to get out of there DONT BE A BARTENDER then --- had she said " Sir this is the last drink i can serve you i would have went and played --- in all my years of gambling in Casino's i have NEVER had a hospitality employee not want to work the situation out to keep the player and possible friends coming back . Right hand doesnt know what left is doing . I never raised my voice or was rude to her , Jokes is the highest grossing Casino in NY and have people like this working like this . That woman 1000000000% drives business away `. Horrible attitude , confrontational , snippy basically un approachable. doesnt understand players lose money and pay her salary but then again maybe thats why she's a bartender at her age ...... I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND TELL ALL MY FRIEND AND CLIENTS ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE ......
not the greatest casino in the world. very small and needs updating which they are. no good food options. the salad was so gross and bland. the machines don't give out much money at all. hate the virtual dealers. not enough room to sit.
Terrible hotel. Avoid at all costs. 1. No room service unless you request. 2. Front desk is very rude. When I did request room service on the last night, the front desk was not helpful. 3. Everything was broken. Air conditioner is broken and cannot cool down the room. Shower is broken and cannot adjust water temperature. 4. There was a false alarm during our stay, everyone walked down from 9th floor to ground floor. It was cold and rainy outside. And the false alarm stayed on for a long time. Very bad.
Jake’s 58 is an ok local casino if you just want somewhere nearby to go, but don’t expect anything special. The parking lot is almost always packed, and finding a spot can easily take 10–20 minutes before you eventually give up and use valet. The machines also feel really tight, and the better or more popular machines are usually taken. Overall, it’s decent for a quick night out, but definitely frustrating at times.
If you are an executive don't waste your time. Any communication for a special request is ignored. $50 to check in one early and $$50 to check out one hour later. Hard pass. Stay elsewhere! Definitely not a 3 star hotel. The bistro says open til midnight but at 11pm they are closed. Very poor The restaurant: waited to be seated for 20 minutes then sat at the table for another 20 with no service. Jakes 58Casino hotel is a low rent joke. Better service at a Motel 8
Very nice facility. I have been many times and have always interacted with the staff. One lady who stands out to me is the front desk manager Elizabeth. She goes above and beyond- truly a gem!!!
Well... if you like less less fancy Casino Hotels this is your place. The staff was friendly and the security at the exist handicapped entry ... my guess its needed. They are building out another area of the hotel ( It's under construction ). The wall Paper is buckling perhaps its the same from the former establishment ( Marriot). The tub was clogged , but maintenance did not delay. They removed a huge wad if hair ( yuck). No bright light to so your make up.... oh I was at the hotel for a Wedding. The wedding venue nearby ( Watermill Caterers was beautiful as was the wedding). Back to the hotel, the food at the bistro was comforting and the alcoholic drink were good. The rooms need major renovations. The shower head take a look at the picture. Enough said ! Jakes 58 Hotel and Casino is a one and done I was fooled by their website .
Customer service is a disaster. I confirmed 3 different times what form of ID was acceptable before I made my reservation since I lost my ID a week ago but had temporary paper work. I drive an hour to get there right before the storm to be told that the people on the phone were wrong. I don’t want to name drop Dennis from security and Courtney from customer service. But do better people just do better. If you don’t know the answer just ask someone who knows.
Went to cash in a lottery ticket and awed with the place. Great security at the door. The people were all professional and courteous. The environment was a bit loud for me. Parking lot was crazy trying to find a spot. Valet Parking is available for the guests. I don't know if there is a fee. Sometimes there is.
The casino is the Twilight Zone on steroids. When you walk through the doors and metal detector, several guards glaring at you immediately guiding you to stand in front of the facial recognition camera, you must submit government ID which is scanned and you are not even given a card after all of that. The doorway entering the casino was so narrow and the games and people were practically like packed sardines. Never witnessed anything like this in my life. Made to a clearing where we took the escalator to upper level. A little more spacious. Stayed up there due to more space. Machines SUCKED. It was an eye-opening experience which I will never revisit. It was a strange place with bad vibes. I can't put my finger on it but I am afraid of that place. Adios forever. BTW, the security were courteous so that was the highlight. The one star is for the security.
