The Vanderbilt is consistently praised for its exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and a strong sense of community. Guests rave about the attentive staff, particularly Jake Colletti and Chima Ogu, and the beautiful, well-maintained property. While some have raised concerns regarding noise levels, the overwhelming sentiment is positive.
Had the most uncanning experience at check in with an assistant name Cici who did her very best to convince me not to stay at the Vanderbilt. I took her advice and canceled. Saved about $700 going to another hotel. If you’re a manager, check the interaction on May 4 2026 between 7:09 and 7:13 pm. Im sure I’m not the first person who’s experienced a similar interaction.
The Vanderbilt is a luxury apartment building like no other. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that no detail is overlooked and excellence is the standard. The level of care, service, and attention given to residents is unmatched. The property manager, Jake Colletti, is truly exceptional. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, always balancing professionalism with a genuinely personal touch. His dedication made living at the Vanderbilt a seamless and elevated experience. The concierge desk—Sheri Ann, Cece, Darla, Destiny, and Tito—are absolute assets to the Vanderbilt. They didn’t just do their jobs with precision; they made you feel welcomed, known, and truly at home. Their warmth, consistency, and care set the tone for the entire building. The Vanderbilt isn’t just a great luxury apartment building—it is the best luxury apartment you will ever live in. Having lived in apartments for the majority of my adult life, I can confidently say this is the most luxurious residence in the country, not just New York State. I was a resident for nearly four years at the Vanderbilt and they made those years unforgettable. Nothing will ever top this experience. I will always cherish my time at the Vanderbilt and the lifelong friendships formed with both staff and fellow residents. There truly is no place like it. If you’re lucky enough to call it home, make every moment count.
I lived at the Vanderbilt for approximately four years. I have lived in many apartments in my life and can confidently say that it is by far the best. Starting with the front desk, the staff is incredible, kind, helpful, and always willing to do whatever they can to assist the tenants. The manager, Jake, was superb and would personally carry out tasks to aid in the betterment of the tenant’s experience. There were several instances where he personally fixed an issue during our stay. The rooms are spacious and beautiful and the hallways, bathrooms, and shared areas are immaculately cleaned. I can give my recommendation for the Vanderbilt wholeheartedly and without hesitation. It is an excellent establishment!
Don’t be misled by the name or the polished photos online. The walls are extremely thin—you can hear every conversation from neighboring rooms, which makes it feel like you’re sharing the same space. The noise continued well past midnight, and when I brought it to the front desk’s attention, the response was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially saying it wasn’t their problem. The staff was not accommodating, the rooms were mediocre at best, and overall the experience felt like a cash grab rather than a place that values its guests.
Exceptional Service from Chima Ogu at Reception! From the moment I arrived, Chima Ogu made me feel genuinely welcome. His professionalism, warm attitude, and attention to detail immediately stood out. The check-in process was quick and effortless, and he went above and beyond to make sure every part of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Chima greeted me with a smile every time I passed by the front desk, always ready to assist — whether it was with directions, local recommendations, or small details that made a big difference. His positive energy and hospitality truly set the tone for my visit. It’s rare to come across someone who combines efficiency, kindness, and genuine care so naturally. Thank you, Chima, for delivering a five-star experience — you’re a credit to the hotel and a perfect example of world-class service!
Thursday nights wine tasting event at the Vanderbilt in Westbury was truly awesome. Top brand labels and beautiful environment. A must for anyone interested in a great wine tasting experience. Would love to attend another event like this !!
The bridal suite was the absolute perfect space to get ready for my wedding day! The suite is spacious and comfortably fit our entire bridal party, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the morning. It’s a beautiful space for photos, both inside and out. We also stayed in the hotel rooms for two nights, which were equally spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Everything about our stay was amazing!
In a world where it’s very hard to get customer service we just had the absolute best experience. We were in a bind needing a room and we were greeted by Chima who was excellent and helped us! He was so kind and made sure we were taken care of!
I was looking for a rental space in an upscale building when I heard about the Vanderbilt. Since we toured the building before opening, I remember wearing a hard hat and found it so exciting to be able to have my choice of apartments. One of my favorite things about the Vanderbilt is how beautiful the building is, how well it’s maintained, the phenomenal staff and location. There is nowhere else I would want to be. There are a number of amenity spaces that are available to enjoy. A wonderful on-site restaurant with bar and poolside service in the summer months. The people who live here are amazing. The people who work here are phenomenal. I’ve made so many friends. Everyone is so friendly and engaging and with similar stories of how they ended up at Vanderbilt, I have a tremendous social life here. I would recommend the Vanderbuilt to anybody who’s looking to live an elevated lifestyle as I have made new friends and have been able to join activity such as Canasta sip and paint and other resident events that are hosted at the property. The property is also conveniently located to the city where my kids live and near many upscale and delicious restaurants and shopping.
I’m very sorry to be giving this hotel such a bad review but our first night arriving from Florida. We had no heat in our room without the air sounding like a motorcycle being in the room. I called the front desk when we got back from visiting family with a busy day coming up the next day and they told us there were no other rooms for us to go to. There were no portable heaters no extra blankets no Nothing so we slept in the cold all night. It was freezing the night we arrived on 23 December. They told me the next day when I told him I was going to leave a bad review they would have it fixed. They did not. I will leave a video showing the night before we left on the 25th, which was Christmas Like I said I can’t believe I’m having to leave this review. The hotel is pretty. The rooms are big. There is not a lot of space to place your things in the bathroom. Other than that it’s a good place. The restaurant was not open while I was there so can’t comment on that But a disappointment overall for me. By the way, I called the front desk on the 24th. They told me they would refund the entire stay. I have not received any refund at all. I would’ve preferred something different but at this point, I think it’s terrible how we were treated. I was in room 102 which is right near the door going outside on the first floor might not have been so cold on the third floor in the middle? EDIT: I spoke to the manager (Natasha) yesterday and told her what happened. I received a refund. At this time I WILL recommend this hotel and possibly stay there during my next trip to the area. This hotel made things right. Thank you!
