Visited in the winter. This Place definitely could you some attention to detail. Does not seem like they take care of the place much in the winter.

Stayed here in September for a beautiful weekend for our moms 60th birthday celebration. We had such a wonderful time. It was end of September so it was nice and quiet. Pool and beach were stunning and quiet. The unit we stayed in were clean. You're close enough to the town of Montauk but far away to enjoy the peach and quiet which is what we prefer. Can't wait to take my daughters back and stay again.

Another beautiful time away at Windward Shores. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the guest front desk people, especially Maishe. A few check in room bumps and they were addressed straight away. The beach set up guys, especially John, always so helpful and smiling while it reached 100 degrees with sand as hot as coals, ps thank you for storing our chair. Pool was clean and perfect. The stars at night seem so close, almost touchable at this property, amazing. Landscaping so natural, and a cool breeze day and night. Few points to mention, update all the rooms when possible, some noisy appliances are old and clash with the oceans relaxing sounds. We know, owners of each have say so. But it's time. Loved we had help with luggage and huge cart to bring stuff to room. House keeping right on fixing any little issues quickly.

All good. As expected. Pictures show the reality of the room. Super clean. Good location by the beach. Close to Napeague Bay (lovely place). Substandard wi-fi speed (while the GSM coverage is patchy). I recommend for not working time by the ocean.

it becomes obvious when approaching the sidewalk to the office, that this place is going to be a clean stay, due to the not so typical, tremendous care that's put into the impeccable landscape and pristine clean pool area!!! and yes, our #16 suite was just as nice and clean! Walk out the sliding glass doors and in 30 seconds you're in the sand walking to the huge Ocean beach! We've been other places, but have decided that this is our place to stay when doing our east end travel! Don't forget to tip the people that take care of the rooms, even if you didn't use them during your stay! They still have to prepare the rooms perhaps for you on your next stay!!!

We loved our stay here! The room was so clean, furnished nice and well stocked with everything you need. Jacqueline at the front desk was pleasant and very accommodating as we wanted to upgrade our room when we got there. Absolutely deserves 5 stars we'll definitely stay again!

I came out to Montauk just for a night and booked a stay at Windward Shores. It is the middle of winter and raining but the amenities were excellent for a nice day(tennis courts, pool and private beach). The room I stayed in had views of the ocean and a 2 tiered room (2 bedrooms: one upstairs accessible by a spiral staircase and a downstairs bedroom) with bathrooms on both levels. The interior is very beautifully decorated and the kitchen is a big bonus if you have a family and want to cook. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. I can’t wait to go back in nicer weather.

Windward Shores is a hidden gem, especially during the “off season”! I’ve stayed in both a studio and 2 bedroom apartments and they were fantastic! The rooms are spacious, the rooms with ocean views are breathtaking, the beach…ridiculously close! I love that this resort is small, has quiet hours, and isn’t right in the middle of Montauk or the Hamptons because the atmosphere is beyond relaxing and its own little oasis. The staff are incredibly accommodating and kind, the facilities well maintained, and the fantastic proximity to a private batch is out of this world…literal yards away! Both rentals I stayed in had a full kitchen (with an small oven) with cooking supplies such as pots, pans, utensils, glasses, dishwater etc.. A coffee maker and coffee is provided as well as linens & towels. The simplicity, charm, and magic of this place brings me back! If you can’t afford to be here during the spring and summers (like myself), come in the lat fall and winter for a little retreat; you won’t be disappointed!
